This series started after my grandfather died and my mom and I were left to clean out the house. We found miscellanous items, of no value to anyone but me. I used my imagination to think of creative ways in which to keep some of these odd items in the family, while making them into attractive hooked pieces. It is from these that I have been known to "embellish" my hooking. Even the book I have these pieces documented in, is an heirloom in itself. I altered a reading book of my grandfather's and showcased all of them in a scrapbook fashion with the story of each alongside the photo. NOTE: The "Primititve Spirit" suitcase is the only rug pattern that I did not design. It is available through PRIMITIVE SPIRIT in Eugene, OR.
